What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a manual form of healing. Human bodies are made to move and restriction of motion anywhere in the body has an impact on health. Osteopathic treatment helps to balance the body's systems by restoring motion to relieve pain, improve mobility, and stimulate the body's ability to heal itself. It is based on the understanding that when one part doesn't work, it will inevitably affect the whole.

How can Osteopathy help?

Osteopathic care has been found to be of use to people with all types of health concerns including:

  • Musculoskeletal issues
  • Spinal health
  • Traumatic injury
  • Digestive irregularity
  • Reproductive issues
  • Respiratory health
  • Migraines

When you come in for a treatment, we look at the whole body. We look to treat the cause not the symptom. Even if your area of concern is the neck, there is a systematic plan to assess from head to toe to see where the restriction stems from.
