Miriam Mulkewich

Miriam has been working in the rehabilitation field for over 30 years. As a physiotherapist, Miriam has worked in private clinics in both British Columbia and Ontario, as well as at St. Peters Hospital. For the past 25 years she has been providing physiotherapy services to the community of Aldershot.
Miriam received her training at McMaster University earning two degrees in Physical Education (1988) and Physiotherapy (1995). Continuing education is important to Miriam and over the years she has completed many physiotherapy specialty courses in manual therapy, running injuries, the Fit Fore Golf program, women's health, vestibular rehabilitation and concussion care. Miriam has completed her training in Acupuncture at McMaster University's internationally recognized Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program. Miriam became a Pilates instructor over 20 years ago and incorporates Pilates into her rehabilitation approach. In 2014, Miriam completed a yoga teacher training program and in 2017 completed a Medical Therapeutic yoga program. She incorporates yoga principles and postures into her rehabilitation approach when she can, particularly for those dealing with chronic pain.
Outside the clinic, Miriam keeps active through, running, cycling, hiking and camping with her family. One of her favourite things to do is to explore the local trails for a hike or a trail run with her dog Ivy.
