Compression Stockings
Are you dealing with swelling, edema, painful or heavy feeling legs? Are you spending extended periods of time on your feet, or sitting? |
.
What are Compression Stockings?
Compression stockings, also called compression socks, are a form of medical compression therapy that help support circulation and reduce edema and swelling.
Graduated compression is applied to the leg externally from a stocking. Compression is strongest at the ankle and progressively eases as it goes up the leg.
The graded, controlled compression assists the veins to bring circulation back to the heart, while reducing the amount of fluid leaking from capillaries into the tissue causing swelling.
